The Reiki Preservation Society (TRPS)

The original website for The Reiki Preservation Society was compromised (hacked) some years ago and, as a result, has been taken offline. It will remain down for the foreseeable future. This page now serves as the primary public point of reference for TRPS information and its active members.

To be a member of TRPS is to be an active member—there are no passive members. Each member undertakes assignments that support and benefit the Society as a whole. This is in addition to the expectation that every Master maintains their own daily Reiki practice, continuing to deepen their relationship with the system they are entrusted to carry.

Membership

Membership is by invitation and approval. TRPS is a working society focused on preserving Takata-line transmissions of Usui Shiki Reiki Ryōhō.

In most cases, membership is open to:

Current Reiki Masters trained by a TRPS member, or Masters who have completed recognized cross-training with a TRPS member.
Under certain circumstances, Masters in the broader Takata stream (for example, a Master trained directly by Hawayo Takata, or by one of her Master students), subject to a brief conversation and mutual fit.

Applicants should expect a short interview and verification of lineage documentation. All members are expected to remain active contributors to the Society and to maintain a consistent personal Reiki practice.

The teachers listed below are members of The Reiki Preservation Society and carry Takata-line transmissions of Usui Shiki Reiki Ryōhō. As TRPS members, they are committed both to their personal daily practice and to contributing actively to the life and work of the Society.
